Becoming a Member of SPR
The Society consists of Full Members and Student Members.
Applicants who satisfy one of the following qualifications may apply for Full Membership in the Society: (a) published scientific research in psychophysiology or related areas; (b) membership in one of the major scientific associations for psychological, neuroscience, medical, biological, or engineering professions; or (c) interest in psychophysiology, and sponsorship by two members of the Society.
To qualify for student membership, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or predoctoral program in psychophysiology or a related area. Student status must be certified annually by the student's Department Chair or Program Director. Student memberships are subsidized by the Society.

Reduced registration fees for the SPR Annual Meeting
and Workshop
The Annual Meeting includes presentations of new theory, methods, and research in
Invited Addresses, Symposia, Paper Sessions, Poster Sessions,
and Presidential and Award Addresses. Preconference Workshops
on specific topics or methodological advances are also typically
scheduled immediately preceding each Annual Meeting. In addition
to being a great opportunity to discuss research and related information
with colleagues in this interdisciplinary field, the Annual Meeting
includes an open Business Meeting that encourages membership involvement
in the Society and fosters responsiveness by the Society to its
membership.
Membership Directory
The Membership Directory provides the names, addresses, phone
numbers, fax numbers, and e-mail addresses of all members, along
with other useful information such as dates and locations of future
conferences and a roster of the Officers and Board of Directors.
Members are listed both alphabetically and geographically to make
the Directory useful for a variety of purposes.
Periodic mailings to keep you abreast of developments within the Society.
Reduced prices for books and subscriptions to journals in related fields.
A vigorous awards program including:
Student Poster Awards and Tursky Awards, given at the annual meeting
for outstanding presentations by student members.
