“As a beginning graduate student new to academia, SPR provided my first experience with academic conferences. It was a wonderfully safe and supportive environment to explore and develop my research identity and interests. Nearly two decades later it continues to be a key venue for the intellectual stimulation and professional development necessary to promote a community of researchers and advance good science. I am delighted to have been a part of SPR’s growth and to have it contribute to mine.” – José A. Soto, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, and Director of the Culture, Health, & Emotion Laboratory at The Pennsylvania State University
