Evaluation of Merit in Psychological Science: Implications for Women and Minorities [Co-hosted by Diversity Committee and WISE]
12:00 noon-1:30 p.m.
Friday, October 13
RSVP: September 8th, 2017 (anticipated space for 130 attendees)
WISE and the SPR Diversity Committee invite you to attend a lunchtime discussion of the evaluation of merit in psychological science and the implications for women and minorities. Extensive research documents the role that implicit biases play in the hiring and promotion processes, as well as peer review and teaching evaluations. We will discuss potential solutions, at both the institutional and individual levels, to help mitigate the impact of these biases. We hope you can join us!
The lunch and panel discussion are inclusive and open to all, irrespective of gender, ethnicity, or career level. Any questions about the event can be directed to Lauren Neal (<a href="mailto:email@example.com">firstname.lastname@example.org</a>). To register, please check the appropriate box on the SPR registration form or directly contact the SPR Registrar via email at <a href="mailto:email@example.com">firstname.lastname@example.org</a>.
